Lina Saeed is a civil engineering academic and researcher specializing in sustainable construction, low-carbon materials, and innovative geotechnical solutions. Her current research focuses on bio-stabilization of sand using Microbial-Induced Calcite Precipitation (MICP) in collaboration with colleagues from the American University of Bahrain and Keller, aiming to reduce dependency on carbon-intensive traditional ground-improvement methods. She also investigates green building technologies, demonstrated in her comparative study on the environmental and economic performance of green roofs in Bahrain and Singapore. Lina integrates sustainability, project management, construction technology, and design thinking into her teaching and research, aligning her work with global goals for climate resilience and sustainable infrastructure.
