Dr. Nina Abdul Razzak

Research Summary

As a researcher, Dr. Nina Abdul Razzak has written and published in a variety of areas in the field of education. She is also a reviewer on a number of international scientific journals and is the founder and managing editor of her own international peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Teaching and Teacher Education, which is sponsored and funded by the University of Bahrain. 

My current work explores the role of AI companions equipped with memory and their impact on the well-being and behavioral patterns of older adults, contributing to the growing dialogue on ethical and AI empathy design.

Funding

  • Secured a research grant of $8000 in February 2011 as a co-researcher from the Arab Thought Foundation for the TAMAM research project focusing on school-based reform in the Arab countries. (*Project was discontinued by TAMAM organizers due to inability to gain Ministry of Education approval to gain access to Bahraini public schools).

 

  • Secured a research grant of 1,920 BD (= $ 5,092) in March 2012 from the University of Bahrain for a research project titled “In-service Teachers’ Attitudes Towards the Use of Technology Integration in the Bahraini Classroom” (Project submitted February 5, 2013).

 

  • Secured a research grant of 1620 BD (= $ 4,297) in March 2015 from the University of Bahrain for a research project titled “Teachers’ Experiences with School Improvement Projects: The Case of Bahraini Public Schools” (Project submitted May 2016).
