This study aimed to reveal the degree of awareness and use of educational artificial intelligence applications by faculty members in Iraqi universities (University of Anbar as a model) in teaching engineering subjects. The study used the descriptive survey method, specifically designing a two-axis questionnaire to achieve the study’s objectives. The first axis measured faculty members’ awareness of educational artificial intelligence applications in teaching engineering, The second axis expressed the level of use of some educational artificial intelligence applications in university education, which included (100) faculty members at the University of Anbar (engineering specialization). After performing appropriate statistical treatments, the results indicated that the degree of awareness of educational artificial intelligence applications by faculty members at the University of Anbar was good. Coursera application came first among the applications in terms of awareness level. The results also indicated that the degree of use of educational artificial intelligence applications by faculty members in teaching engineering subjects at the University of Anbar was good. Coursera application came first among the applications in terms of usage level. The results also indicated the presence of differences in the degree of awareness and use of educational artificial intelligence applications in favor of male faculty members compared to females. © 2025 IEEE.
