The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) has announced its participation in the second edition of the IEEE International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Computing (IEEE ETECOM 2026).
The conference took place on October 26–27, 2026, at ENSTA Paris—a constituent institute of the prestigious Institut Polytechnique de Paris—the flagship symposium convened international academics, researchers, and tech leaders to shape the future of engineering and technology.
The University’s participation builds on its successful hosting of the inaugural edition of the conference at its Riffa campus in 2025. AUBH students also participated in the conference, reflecting the University’s ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research, strengthening partnerships with international academic institutions, and fostering opportunities for knowledge and expertise exchange in engineering and technology.
Demonstrating significant global reach, IEEE ETECOM 2026 received over 430 research submissions authored by more than 1,000 scholars across 52 nations. Key AUBH leadership sits at the helm of the conference’s international governance: Dr. Wafa Almansoori, President of AUBH, serves as Honorary Chair, while Dr. Alaaeddine Ramadan, Director of the AUBH Research Center, leads the international committee as Technical Program Committee Chair.
Dr. Wafa Almansoori, President of AUBH, commented:
“International scientific conferences play an important role in advancing research by bringing together researchers, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, and creating opportunities for collaboration.
At the American University of Bahrain, we seek to build on these opportunities by fostering long-term research partnership that actively engage our faculty and students in generating and applying knowledge, while contributing to solutions that address the evolving needs of industry and local society.”
