His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, today attended the graduation ceremony of the third cohort of the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) at the Exhibition World Bahrain, held under his patronage.
His Highness congratulated the graduates and commended their dedication and perseverance in completing their studies, wishing them continued success in their future endeavours and in serving the Kingdom.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the Kingdom’s continued advancement of its education sector, guided by the progressive vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering opportunities and developing the education system to align with the needs of the national labour market.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman expressed his pride in Team Bahrain’s excellence, creativity, and unwavering determination to drive the Kingdom’s progress, emphasising the vital role of education as a cornerstone of national development.
Graduating students were presented with their certificates, while outstanding students were recognised with awards and scholarships offered through the university’s collaboration with various private sector sponsors and supporters. Top graduates from each college were also honoured with academic excellence awards.
Student Ahmed Mohammed Al Omran received the Academic Excellence Award for the College of Business and Administration, presented by the National Bank of Bahrain. Ali Hussain Al Madhoub was awarded the Academic Excellence Award for the College of Engineering and Computing, sponsored by the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait. In the College of Media and Design, Salma Ali Janahi received the Academic Excellence Award, presented by Khaleeji Bank, while Ahmed Fouad Rahimi received a special award presented by Beyon.
In addition, both Mohammed Ramzi Al-Arayedh and Farouk Mohammed Amin have been offered international training opportunities with Primo and Al-Yastor, where the graduates will undertake a period of professional training in Spain, with support from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).
For his part, Dr. Bradley J. Cook, President of the American University of Bahrain, conveyed his gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman for his patronage of the university’s third graduation ceremony.
Dr. Cook emphasised that since its founding, the American University of Bahrain has aspired to be a beacon of knowledge and innovation, providing a dynamic learning environment that fosters dialogue, encourages academic research, and athletic participation. Dr Cook noted that this aligns with the university’s ambitious vision to graduate promising generations of students capable of competing in the Kingdom’s vibrant labour market and contributing to a prosperous future across various fields and disciplines.
