Over the past decade, there has been an increased emphasis on market mechanisms, technology and technological development, and the impact of factors and determinants on the economic system, often overshadowing the importance of the role of human being in the economy. Intellectual capital is considered to be one of the main drivers of economic growth. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between intellectual capital and economic growth. The literature review provided shows that there is a significant positive impact of intellectual capital, research, and innovation on economic growth. © 2020 Academic Conferences and Publishing International Limited.
