Bestoun S. Ahmed

Research Summary

My research lies at the intersection of AI engineering, software quality, and data-driven systems, with a particular focus on MLOps and trustworthy machine learning in production. I work on data quality and drift-aware ML, quality assurance and testing of AI- and IoT-enabled systems, and applied soft computing and metaheuristics for optimization in software engineering and control. Much of my work is carried out in close collaboration with industry (steel production, pharmaceuticals, tourism, smart manufacturing, and IoT vendors), where we design and deploy end-to-end AI solutions that remain robust under real-world constraints and evolving data
