Dr. Maqbool Khan is an Associate Professor, data scientist, solution architect, and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of big data, cloud computing, human-AI teaming, and predictive maintenance. He conducts applied research on AI-driven systems for real-world industrial contexts, especially in smart manufacturing and predictive maintenance in SMEs. His recent postdoctoral research focused on human–AI collaboration, knowledge graph architectures, and relational machine learning in manufacturing environments. In parallel, he has supervised multiple MS students on topics like anomaly detection, generative modeling, and AI systems. His methodological approach combines knowledge graphs, deep learning, and data-driven system design to build robust and fair AI-augmented systems.
