One of the most significant sources of renewable energy in the world is wind energy, and the fastest growing because of its unique advantages, such as cheap costs, and its friendliness to the environment, as it is a natural resource that is not subject to human control. Based on the detailed wind speed data for the selected site, the type of wind turbine is determined. In this research paper, QBlade software was used to analyze and simulate the horizontal axis wind turbine blades in order to increase the power coefficient. Also, it was analyzed the behavior deeply and the performance of the wind blade based on the Blade Element Momentum theory (BEM) to simulate the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWTs). The effect of the twist angle and chord length of three horizontal axis wind turbine blades on the behavior and performance of wind turbines has been investigated. It used two airfoils (SD7062) and (S8066), each with a 1.5 -meter- long blade divided into 12 sections. The validity of the results of analyses and optimization was proved using the QBlade software. It was found that maximum values of the ratio (CL/CD) occurred when the angles of attack were 6.5 and 4, corresponding to the airfoils (SD7062) and (S8066), respectively. Based on the achieved analysis, the tip speed ratio (TSR) was equal to 7. © 2023 IEEE.
