Dr. Maqbool Khan

Dr. Maqbool Khan serves as an Associate Professor in the College of Engineering and Computing at the American University of Bahrain (AUBH). Prior to joining AUBH, he held academic and industry positions across Pakistan, Austria, China, and the UAE, contributing to international research and industrial projects with organizations including Siemens, Atos, and the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH).

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Dr. Khan’s areas of expertise include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Cybersecurity, and Intelligent Systems. He is also a Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect with expertise in designing and managing scalable cloud solutions and enterprise cloud infrastructures.

His research focuses on Explainable AI, Human-AI Teaming, the Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Healthcare Systems, Predictive Analytics, and Smart Computing Applications. He has published extensively in internationally recognized journals and conferences, including IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and ACM, and serves as a reviewer and editorial contributor for several leading academic journals and conferences. His work also includes funded research and innovation projects, as well as AI-driven technology initiatives in healthcare, education, and smart systems.
