Ms. Laura Lobato

Laura Lobato is a Lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences at the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), where she teaches English Composition and Business Communication. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education across the Gulf region, she has held academic and leadership roles focused on teaching, curriculum development, and student success.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining AUBH, Laura served in several academic and leadership positions at Bahrain Polytechnic and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). At BIBF, she led the redesign of the University Foundation Program, developing an enhanced curriculum aligned with international best practices.

Throughout her career, Laura has taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English Composition, Business Communication, and academic research skills to students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Her professional interests include curriculum development, student support and mentoring, academic integrity, and the integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance teaching, learning, and student success.
