The depletion of resources has made continuous challenges for the global energy sector and pushed the experts to develop and innovate sustainable solutions to face such challenges. The hydrodynamic power is a good example to be taken in this study to design and fabricate a water turbine and evaluate its performance. The designed model was fabricated by 3D printing technology. Some attributes were taken into consideration during assessment like number of blades, maximum velocity, discharges, power, and efficiency. The findings showed that maximum velocity, discharges, and power were twofold compared with the designed model. The corresponding generated power and efficiency reached around 731.40 KW and 81% respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
