The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) has officially received recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which will recognize the University and the qualifications it offers to its students.
In this regard, Dr. Bradley J. Cook, AUBH President affirmed that this recognition in the University’s fourth year of operation confirms the quality of education provided by the University to students and enhance its academic reputation locally and regionally. He also added that the recognition of Bahraini universities by Arab countries highlights the distinguished reputation of the higher education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Cook also highlighted, “The higher education sector in Bahrain is witnessing a real revival in light of the wise Leadership’s interest in supporting education and strengthening the role of universities. I would like to thank the Ministry of Education, Higher Education Council, and Education and Training Quality Authority, for their tireless efforts in developing education in Bahrain and their constant perseverance in supporting the educational system to achieve the vision of placing Bahrain as a knowledge center and an oasis for education in the region.”
Dr. Cook thanked all those in charge of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Hashemite Kingdom ofJordan and the Jordanian Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, for their cooperation and efforts.
He also explained that the decision to recognize the University would open the way for Jordanian students in Bahrain and KSA to receive a degree officially recognized by Jordan. This will also pave the way to more collaboration opportunities between AUBH and Jordanian universities, hence, facilitating scientific, cultural, and student exchange programs, as well as, attracting students from Jordan to study in Bahrain.
