Program Content

The innovative Master of Arts in Multimedia Management program starts with core classes related to research leadership and theory in a multimedia environment. After completing the fundamentals, students can then choose elective classes that suit their own career paths such as Leadership Development and Team Building, Ideation Models and Processes, and many more.

Delving deeper, students can then complete an individual thesis with the help of experienced mentors. By the time a student completes this degree, they are ready to take on challenging roles across growing industries including media, advertising, video game design, web design, television, and more.

AUBH’s MA in Multimedia Management gives existing creatives the opportunity to build competencies in media theory and practice while acquiring the managerial skills needed to lead teams of creative people. In addition, students will have the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills to be successful media business owners.

Who should apply?

Free thinkers who want to create original concepts, animations, and artworks, and lead teams. This two-year degree program is for anyone who wants to elevate their career in the fields of advertising, media, fine art, marketing, or public relations, or for any existing professional looking to shift to a multimedia managerial career. Graduates will explore building both technical and soft skills including agility; adapting to change; solving challenging problems quickly; building and sustaining customer relationships; and staying up to date in media tools and resources adaptive to multiple industries. This could mean creating the next viral video ad or managing one of Bahrain’s tech startups.

Admission Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in media,
    multimedia, or business; or other bachelor’s degrees with work experience in media, advertising, marketing, or public relations with a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
  • English language proficiency score of 6.5 in the IELTS test or equivalent. Applicants progressing from universities where the medium of instruction is English and where students are required to provide proof of English language proficiency upon entry may be exempted from this requirement.
  • Passing the personal interview at AUBH if applicable.

Research Methods
Candidates are expected to have completed a research methods course during their previous degrees. However, those who cannot provide proof of completion of such a course are required to take the “CMAD 495 Foundation Media Research Methods” course in their first semester. The credits of this course are not counted toward the requirements of the program.

Program Structure:
