College Advisory Committee

The purpose of the College Advisory Committee (CAC) is to ensure that the College remains outward facing, dynamic and competitive in teaching and research. By drawing on the expertise of key players from industry, CAC helps the College identify and collate sector and employer needs that can be fed back into teaching and learning strategies to enhance the real-world relevance of the College’s programs and the employability of the AUBH graduates.

Dr. Kevin Badni

Dean – College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, Zayed University, UAE

Dr. Kevin Badni currently serves as Dean of the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises at Zayed University in the UAE. Previously, he held the position of Head of Art and Design at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. In addition to his leadership roles, Kevin has been the Director of the Master’s Programs and a Senior Lecturer (British designate) at Loughborough University’s Design School in the UK. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational Visualizations from Loughborough University and a Master’s degree in Multimedia from De Montfort University, UK.

A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Kevin actively contributes to academia as a reviewer for various journals and conferences, and serves as an associate editor for the Media-N journal of the New Media Caucus. Prior to his academic career, Kevin spent a decade as a professional designer in Britain’s creative industries, catering to diverse clients, from small entrepreneurs to blue-chip companies managing both government and European research grants. Notably he also managed the UK’s first commercial Virtual Reality center.

Kevin’s contributions extend to the artistic realm, with his work exhibited internationally in Sydney, Chicago, Bogotá, Venice, Sharjah, and Dubai, as well as numerous art spaces in London and the UK. His expertise also includes acting as an invited speaker and panel member at both university and government levels and serving as an expert technical witness in patent cases. In recognition of his achievements, Kevin was honored with a British Design Council Award for his product design and holds several design patents.

Mr. Slobodan Bobansky

With a wealth of experience in diverse film formats and genres, Slobodan Milivojevic “Bobansky” is an accomplished director of photography. From captivating animations to compelling commercial/corporate projects and live events, he has honed his craft over a career spanning nearly 20 years.

Beginning his journey in 1995 as an editor and motion graphics artist in Yugoslavia, Slobodan immersed himself in the vibrant advertising and TV production industry. In 2003, he co-founded ‘Total ADV,’ a boutique production studio based in Serbia. The studio’s success led to a talented team of six animators, editors, and motion graphic designers, serving clients worldwide.

Driven by a thirst for new challenges, Slobodan made a pivotal move to Bahrain in 2009, joining ‘Talking Pictures Productions.’ During his tenure with them, he played a vital role in studio setup, workflow, recruitment, direction, cinematography, and editing of various projects for regional and international clients.

In 2014, Slobodan embarked on a freelance career in the Middle East region, collaborating with numerous regional clients and agencies. His commitment to excellence is evident in the high-quality work he consistently produces. By embracing the latest production styles, employing top-notch equipment, and employing modern creative techniques, Slobodan delivers polished and professional results that exemplify top-level filmmaking.

With his extensive industry experience and comprehensive knowledge, Slobodan offers a holistic and client-friendly solution. From concept to completion, he manages projects encompassing production, shooting, directing, and editing. His production approach is tailored to the unique needs of each agency or individual client, while also considering factors like budget constraints and specific requirements.

Slobodan operates his own boutique production studio in Bahrain called bMedia (www.bmedia.me) while regularly freelancing as a director, DP, and editor on various projects. Although based in Bahrain, he extends his services throughout the GCC and Europe, ensuring his expertise is accessible to clients across different regions.

Mr. Khalid A. Latif

Chief Marketing Officer – Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) B.S.C

Khalid A. Latif was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C.(Alba) in September 2015, in line with Alba’s strategy to develop Bahraini nationals from within the Company into key leadership positions. Khalid heads the following departments: Casthouse (Maintenance & Operations), Customer Service & Marketing Operations, Sales (all regions), and Alba Americas.

In his current role, Khalid leads the Company’s global marketing strategies to drive innovation across its business divisions, depending on the deep knowledge he has in both the marketing and operations fields. He continuously increases Alba’s existing business and develops new markets to meet the Company’s growth targets.

Prior to his current executive role, in 2012, he was promoted to Manager of Engineering and then to the position of Marketing Manager for Customer Services & Marketing Operations.

Khalid joined Alba as an apprentice in 1989 and worked in various operational areas including Power Station, Reduction Lines, and Carbon Plant. He rose through the ranks and was promoted from Supervisor to Engineer followed by Superintendent.

Khalid holds an MBA from the French Arabian Business School/ESSEC (Bahrain), a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc.) in Electrical Engineering from Gulf University in Bahrain as well as a High National Diploma in Mechatronics from Abertay University, Dundee, UK. He also possesses a certificate of completion for the Executive Education Programme in Strategic Sales Management from the University of Chicago, USA.

Dr. Mohamed Kameshki

Founder & Managing Director – MiniMax Business Consulting

Dr. Mohammed Kameshki is a practitioner with a strong academic background. He is a Bahraini business strategist who brings more than 30 years of diverse business economics research and advisory experience.

Dr. Kameshki earned a BSc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Staffordshire, an M.Sc. in Management Science and Operational Research from the University of Warwick Business School, and a Ph.D. in Business Economics from the University of Loughborough Business School.

During his professional career, Dr. Kameshki advised numerous local companies in various sectors on their strategy formulation, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and human capital resourcing. This was supported by his sound academic background and quantitative research capabilities, in addition to strong communication skills. Moreover, he has published a number of research papers in regional journals and participated in international conferences, particularly on issues related to current business & economic situations.

Dr. Kameshki is a great believer in social responsibility and contributing to the community; he has coached and supervised junior leadership programs during his career with the Bahrain Centre for Research & Studies. During his career path, Dr. Kameshki supervised several postgraduate students’ academic research. He also did part-time lecturing at University of Bahrain for several years.

Dr. Kameshki served as an independent director (representing the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain and/or other stakeholders) for more than 13 years on the boards of a number of top-tier listed companies and regulated FIs, where he has played a key role in their strategic growth and the enhancement of their corporate governance.
