AUBH Concludes its Career Fair Week

(Riffa, Bahrain) – The American University of Bahrain has successfully concluded its Career Fair Week, providing students with invaluable opportunities for professional development and career exploration. The event introduced students to the job market by bringing together more than 24 industry representatives. 

The AUBH Career Fair Week featured insightful panel discussions as well as several career-specific and CV coaching sessions that further solidified AUBH’s commitment to preparing students for success beyond academia. The Fair provided students with several opportunities to help them navigate the ever-evolving job market, such as networking with potential employers, reviewing their CVs, practicing their interviewing skills, and learning about job opportunities in their respective industries. 

The event witnessed an impressive turnout of students engaging with representatives from diverse industries. Some of the participating companies included Ahli United Bank, Alba, Beyon, BFG International, Edamah, Zain, GPIC, Ernst & Young, Mazad, Arthur D. Little, Al Zain Jewellery, and many more, offering students a comprehensive view of potential career paths and opportunities. 

Highlighting the importance of the AUBH Career Fair Week, Dr. Amal Al Awadhi, Dean of Students said, “Our commitment to providing a holistic American model of education extends beyond the classroom, and the Career Fair exemplifies this dedication.” By offering a platform for career coaching, industry discussions, and personalized CV guidance, we empower our students to make informed decisions about their future careers. We wish our students a successful journey ahead post-graduation and we are sure that they will reach new heights.” 

Tamkeen, Bahrain Society of Engineers, Bahrain Association of Banks, and the International Advertising Association – Bahrain Chapter also organized a panel discussion that discussed youth opportunities and globalization, highlighted industry-specific insights in fields such as engineering, business and management, and media and design. The discussion highlighted some of the strategies that students should keep in mind to stay ahead of the present or potential competition in today’s continuously evolving market. 

The AUBH Career Fair Week also featured CV coaching sessions provided by Hope Talents, INJAZ, and Think Smart. Students submitted their CVs to the registration portal ahead of the event and their CVs were successfully shared with relevant employers. Interviews were also scheduled ahead of the event in addition to other walk-in interviews that companies agreed to offer. 

As AUBH continues to foster a culture of excellence and prepare students for their journey post-graduation, the success of the Career Fair Week underscores the University’s commitment to holistic education and lifelong learning. These student-targeted events serve as an open platform for guidance, consultancy, and exploration of multiple career options for students.
