(Riffa, Bahrain) – Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the American University of Bahrain held a graduation ceremony at the Bahrain National Theatre, which was attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the determination and ambition of Bahraini citizens and the successes and achievements they have contributed to the Kingdom’s compressive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman highlighted His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s unwavering support of the Kingdom’s education sector.
In this regard, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman noted that education is foundational to meet the Kingdom’s progress and development aspirations.
His Highness extended his congratulations to the graduates on their achievements, wishing them success in their professional careers and efforts that support progress.
The graduating students were then presented with their certificates and the outstanding students were honoured with prizes and grants provided through the university’s cooperation with a number of sponsors and supporters in the private sector.
For his part, the President of the American University of Bahrain, Dr. Bradley J. Cook, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman for his patronage of the university’s second graduation ceremony.
Dr. Cook also thanked His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman for attending the ceremony, affirming the American University of Bahrain’s commitment to graduating skilled and qualified pupils with the appropriate knowledge needed to meet the Kingdom’s labour market requirements. The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of granting a number of graduates’ international training opportunities provided by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the support of Tamkeen.
The graduation ceremony was held for the second batch of undergraduate students and the first batch of graduate students from the American University of Bahrain.
